Shipping & Returns Policy

This policy applies to all orders placed with India Originals and shipped from the Netherlands.

Shipping Policy

1. Shipping destinations

India Originals ships orders from the Netherlands to all countries within the European Union. We also ship to the United Kingdom.

Please note that shipments to the United Kingdom may be subject to import duties, VAT, or customs charges. These costs are determined by UK customs authorities and are the responsibility of the recipient.

2. Shipping costs

Shipping costs are automatically calculated during checkout and depend on the destination country and the weight of the parcel.

Orders within the Netherlands qualify for free shipping when the order value is €160,- or more.

For all other EU countries, shipping costs are calculated based on the destination and the weight of the shipment.

3. Order processing time

Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 3 business days after payment has been received.

During busy periods or holidays, processing times may be slightly longer.

4. Delivery time

The average delivery time within Europe is approximately 2 to 7 business days after the order has been dispatched.

Actual delivery times may vary depending on the destination country and the shipping carrier.

5. Shipping carriers

India Originals works with reliable shipping partners including:

  • DHL
  • PostNL
  • UPS

The selected carrier may vary depending on the destination and logistical circumstances.

6. Track and Trace

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email including a Track and Trace code. This allows you to follow the progress of your shipment online.

7. Risk and responsibility

India Originals remains responsible for the order until the parcel has been successfully delivered to the delivery address provided by the customer.

Once the parcel is marked as delivered by the carrier, responsibility transfers to the recipient.

8. Damaged shipments

If an order arrives damaged, the customer must report the issue within 48 hours after delivery by contacting shop@indiaoriginals.com.

The report must include clear photos of:

  • the damaged items
  • the packaging
  • the shipping label

Claims submitted after this period may not be eligible for review.

If the damage is confirmed, India Originals will provide an appropriate solution such as replacement or refund.

Returns

9. Right of withdrawal

Customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days after receiving the product without providing any reason.

After cancellation, the customer has an additional 14 days to return the product.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, customers must contact shop@indiaoriginals.com
and include their order number.

10. Conditions for returns

To qualify for a return, the product must meet the following conditions:

  • The product must be unused and undamaged
  • The product should be returned in the original packaging when possible
  • The product must be in resellable condition

India Originals reserves the right to refuse returns if the product shows signs of use, damage, or is incomplete.

11. Return shipping costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

India Originals will not reimburse return shipping costs unless the product was defective or incorrectly delivered.

We recommend sending returns with a Track and Trace service. India Originals cannot be held responsible for lost return shipments.

12. Refunds

Once the returned items have been received and inspected, the purchase amount for the returned products will be refunded within 14 days using the same payment method used for the original order.

Shipping costs from the original order will only be refunded if the entire order is returned.

13. Undelivered parcels and return to sender

If a parcel cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address, failure to collect the parcel from a pickup point, or refusal of delivery, the carrier may return the parcel to India Originals.

In such cases, the recipient is responsible for any additional shipping costs required to resend the order.

14. Non returnable items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Products that show signs of use
  • Products damaged by the customer
  • Products that are no longer in resellable condition

16. Shipping insurance

Shipments are not automatically insured. If shipping insurance is desired, customers may contact our customer service before placing an order to discuss available options.
